There are two ways in which parents can sign-up to begin receiving messages. One is an automated sign-up process, whereby parents register themselves through the sign-up pages on our website, the other is where the school or organisation sign's the parent up on their behalf. Young people on the system can be sorted into classes and groups, meaning that you can specify who to send messages to by class or group. This means that parents only receive specific and relevant information, easy!

Along with your messages, you can send files as attachments just like you would a normal e-mail. This means large items such as newsletters can just be sent in a word document, for example. Attachments are limited to 2MB per message.

Private messaging does exactly what it says on the tin. Messages are not e-mailed to the parent, they are stored on the system and the user has to sign-in to read them, meaning they stay private and secure, unlike some e-mails. This is also a two way system allowing parents to contact the school or organisation in the same way.

As HomeContact is a web-based system it can be accessed from anywhere in the world with internet access. It's just as secure and means that users can have unlimited 24hr access.
