HomePay - Features

HomePay has lots of great features to help you manage your payment collection in the most efficient way. We've outlined some of the key functions below to give you a flavor of what the system can do.

Payment Reports

For each and every payment item you setup, you’ll be able to see a full report with a number of key functions:
  • Ability to see who’s paid, due or overdue
  • Record cash / cheque payments
  • Send manual reminders to individuals
  • Amend the due date / reminder settings / amount due for individuals
  • Download the data into Excel
  • See who has been given parental permission (if used in conjunction with a Reply Online)

Automated Payment Reminders

The system enables you to setup standard payment reminders. For each payment item you setup you can then opt to turn the payment reminders on or off for that specific payment item. If they’re turned on, once the due date has passed the system will automatically begin sending the payment reminders out.

Reminders are fully customisable and each school can set:
  • How many days after the due date each reminder is sent
  • In what format they are sent – email and/or text message
  • The content of the each reminder with mail merge fields (eg Name, Amount, Due Date)

Virtual Terminal

The Virtual Terminal allows you to input a parent’s details to make a payment on their behalf, normally over the telephone. This saves the need for a parent to be in front of their computer if they need to make a payment.

It’s also ideal for taking card parents from parent’s that don’t have internet access.

The Virtual Terminal handles payments in exactly the same way as if the parent was making the payment themselves, and it can also produce a printed receipt to give to the parent.

Parent eWallet

All parents have access to an eWallet which they can top-up and use to pay for any due items.

If their child has dinner money on an ad-hoc basis the meal amount for each day can just be automatically deducted from their eWallet.

They’ll then be notified when their eWallet is running low.

Schools are able to define their own minimum top-up amount for eWallet top-ups.
