February 2010 - Text Message Templates

You are now able to setup standard message templates for text messages saving you from having to re-type commonly sent text messages each time. You can create new templates by clicking the ‘SMS Templates’ link on the left hand side. When sending a text message you can then just choose your predefined template and hit send!

A new interface for the email message box has also been introduced. This new interface allows you to add bold, underlined and italic text to your email messages as well as live hyperlinks.

January 2010 - Multi-file Attachments

You are now able to send up to 3 attachments with a maximum size of 2mb each with email messages. This is something that we are often asked about and hopefully it will help reduce the number of email messages you are having to send to parents.

We've' also launched a brand new and improved 'Online Parent Registration' page which is much slicker and far more user-friendly.

November 2009 - Custom Email Footers

You can now add a customised email footer to the bottom of all emails sent out via HomeContact. This is ideal for including the school contact details, website address, important reminders or key dates. Everytime your parent's open their HomeContact email they'll also see the message you've included in the email footer.

May 2009 - Parents' Details Updates

Based on feedback, we're please to announce that the HomeContact account administrator is able to receive an email alert whenever a parent updates their contact details from within their own HomeContact account. The alert email will contain the new contact details for the parent for the school to update their own records.

April 2009 - Paper Copies Report

A full report of children, by class, that still require a paper copy of letters is now available from within your HomeContact account. The report can be used to work out who needs a hard copy of letter, or to establish which parents you still need to 'target' to register with HomeContact.

October 2008 - Website Re-Design

We're pleased to announce the launch of our brand new website, which we feel is much more 'welcoming' to both new and existing customers.

September 2008 - Reply Online Launched

Our new Reply Online feature, which allows schools/organisations to create electronic reply forms to go with letters has now been launched. This means parents no longer have to print letters and return the reply slip, as it can now all be done online.

Jan 2008 - SMS/Text Messaging

We're pleased to announce the launch of our SMS/Text messaging service. This service will allow parents to receive reminders and alerts directly to their mobile phone from their child's School or Organisation. Parents are able to add up to two mobile numbers to receive messages to.

Sept 2007 - Secondary E-Mail addresses added

We have recently added the function to allow parents to be able to receive e-mail messages to an additional two e-mail addresses, meaning that in total, parents can have e-mail messages delivered directly into three e-mail inboxes. This is ideal for parents who have a personal and work e-mail address or in situations when grandparents or child minders collect children, as they can now receive messages too.
